The program is called, "A Journey of Hope."  To qualify, you must be a Veteran of the OIF or OEF and suffer from the effects of PTSD from any service-related trauma, including MST; you must have NO insurance or 3rd party payour, including VA coverage; and you must be a resident of New Mexico.  The program provides comprehensive assessments, individual, family, and group therapy, PTSD Education and intervention, and case management.

The Humane Society will bring friendly, adoptable dogs from the shelter for adoption.  Dog-lovers throughout Southern New Mexico are invited to meet the canines, all of which are spayed or neutered, have identification chips, and are current on all vaccinations.  Adoption fees are very reasonable.

There have been twelve infant deaths in the past nine years.  These children have been killed by the parents and care givers who should have loved them.  A support group for parents at their wit's end is now available in Dona Ana County.  If you suspect a child is at risk of abuse or neglect, please call the Family Pride Crisis Nursery at 866-928-9881.  The goal is to keep children safe and give parents time to work out their problems.

Any crime victim may call Victim Assistance Hotline at 575-647-8553. Open 8 am - 5 pm.  Speak to a Victim Advocate who will be there to listen and provide support and resources.  

Members of the community, law enforcement agencies, and service providers are encouraged to refer victims of any crime to call this HOTLINE.

Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month. A pot luck is held on the first Tuesday beginning at 6:30 pm, followed by the meeting at 7:30.
